The Savannah Center is proud to have available to all its clients a state of the art computer network. Our infrastructure allows for up to 255 VLAN’s (Virtual Local Area networks) and 8 different wireless networks, available for both public and private use. These features coupled with over 6meg of redundant internet bandwidth, truly position the Savannah center as a technology leader. Technical Details:

8 SSIDs with separate VLAN, security, and authentication per SSID: permits network administrators to control user access to network resources based on user authentication and level of trusted security between the wireless user and the access point. For example, the SSID labeled "Savannah_Public" requires no authentication or security for users of this SSID. All traffic on the "Savannah_Public" SSID is placed on a VLAN with restricted access to specific services such as Internet access. A second SSID is configured for employee access. The "EMPLOYEE" SSID requires successful authentication to the network using IEEE 802.11i with AES encryption to protect wireless data. The VLAN associated with the "EMPLOYEE" SSID grants access to a broader range of services and network access. Additional SSID’s can be set-up for private corporate networks allowing secure wireless networks.(some client supplied equipment may be required for corporate compatibility)

240 hard wired ports each port can be used as either an RJ-45 10/100/1000 port (IEEE 802.3 Type 10Base-T; IEEE 802.3u Type 100Base-TX; IEEE 802.3ab 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet) or an open mini-GBIC. Each individual port can be configured quickly and easily to a particular VLAN which allows for secured private wired networks.
